My Favorite Stranger

sharoneshotsmall2-1.jpg picture by Juliett726

I had an assignment to shoot a stranger. I shot someone that newly moved to San Francisco from San Diego. It was an interesting assignment because I ONLY shoot models for my fashion shoots. I had no idea that shooting a portrait of someone could be so refreshing. And to make it more interesting instead of the usual 250 frames I usually shoot, I had to take this portrait with only one shot. We talked for a while before the shoot to get to know each other. I learned this is imperative while shooting a portrait!! We shared our views, had a lot in common and above all had a lot of fun doing it. Thanks Shar! :)

Refresh

I always need a break from the perfect picture. Sometimes I can love an unedited image with equipment peaking out and all. When you shoot 500 frames for a shoot and use only 10, what do you do with the other good photos?

The picture that saved my day

I worked with a styling class last semester at AAU. I heard the teacher really liked my work. Last week at the height of a stressful day I was waiting for the elevator in 180 NM (my school) and I looked up to see this image (my image) on the wall as an advertisement for the class. It made my day.
